Arts Council
|
| |
The Plain City Arts Council was formed to
promote the arts in our town. If you have ideas about anything that could
be happening to enrich Plain City cultural life, whether it's remembering
our rich Pioneer heritage, enjoying today's cultural arts events, or
planning for a brighter cultural environment for tomorrow, we'd like
to hear from you. We meet at the Plain City Senior Center each 3rd Monday
from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Come join us.

Community Choir and the 4th of July
|
| |
Our Community Choir is at it again. At Christmastime,
our fledgling choir serenaded the citizens of Plain City (or at least
those on our hayride route) with songs of the season. Now we have been
invited to participate in the patriotic entertainment at the Fremont
High football field prior to the fireworks on the 4 th of July. We should
be a lot more comfortable this time around since the weather will be
considerably warmer. Everyone, young and old, is invited to participate.
We need more voices; so if you like to sing, please come and join us.
Our choir will be under the direction of Lynn Cottle. We will be meeting
at the Senior Center . Watch the marquee or visit the city website ( www.plaincityutah.org )
for details on practice times or call Lynn at 644-9160.

Art Show
|
| |
Plans are in the works to stage a Plain
City Art Show in late summer or early fall. We are looking for someone
who would be interested in chairing the event. We're also in need of
committee members to put the show together. If you're interested, call
LaFray Kelley at 731-5252. We look forward to showcasing the wonderful
artistic talent we have in Plain City .
