The landfill is open to all Plain City residents. The materials allowed in the landfill
generally fall into the categories of construction waste or yard waste (green waste). During the summer months residents
generate large amounts of green yard waste that should be placed in the landfill and not into garbage collection waste
containers. Waste collection is paid for by the City by weight collected; so green waste placed in the landfill is not
charged to the City (and every resident). Please take advantage of the landfill for your yard and garden waste and do not
place those materials in the garbage collection containers.
